Morningside cross country head coach David Nash announced the Mustangs’ 2014 award winners.
Morningside College men’s and women’s cross country head coach David Nash announced the Mustangs’ individual award winners for the 2104 season.
Alec DeVries, a sophomore from Merrill, Iowa; Mark Abrams, a junior from Glenwood, Iowa; and Jay Welp, a senior from Conrad, Iowa, received Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards for the men’s team.
Allison Higgins, a freshman from Jefferson, Iowa, was named the MVP for the women’s team.
Other award winners were:
Most Improved – Jake Weber, a freshman from Dunlap, Iowa; and Kate Mathes, a sophomore from Cherokee, Iowa.
Comeback Award – Zach Waite, a sophomore from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Summer Mileage Award – Mariah Wills, a sophomore from Spirit Lake, Iowa; and Welp.
Give Back Award – Tasha Lechtenberg, a junior from O’Neill, Neb.
