At Morningside, both academic and career success are our number one priority. As a small liberal arts university, we have numerous resources that ensure that you excel both during and after your Morningside career.
Most, if not all, Morningside students visit the Academic Support Center during their time here. Receiving academic support is an important part of every students transition to college and the Morningside Academic Support Center is here to help you. Tutoring is available for math, science, accounting, nursing, physics, and many other classes.
Academic Support Center
The Academic Support Center is located on the 2nd floor of the Learning Center (Room 215). We can help you become a stronger student.
Staff tutors are available to help with math & science courses. Student tutors are also on hand to help in areas such as accounting, nursing, physics, and others. You do not need an appointment to see a tutor. Walk-ins are always welcome. Tutors are able to provide both online and in-person tutoring, just let them know how you want to meet when you schedule an appointment or contact them.
In addition to the hours currently listed on our tutor schedules, many tutors are also available at other times by appointment. Please email individual tutors to inquire about the availability of alternate appointment times.
If you are just looking for a place to study with various resources at your disposal, we offer both casual and private study areas, lockers, and the Spoonholder Café close by!

Career Services
Let us help you build new connections
Even after graduation, Morningside University Career Services can still help you find the perfect job.
Morningside University Career Services uses Handshake to communicate employment opportunities to students, new graduates, and alumni.
Handshake can help you discover new career paths, find amazing jobs & internships, and connect with great companies & non-profits.

Career Communities
What are career communities?
We are sure you’re tired of people asking, “What are you going to major in?” At Morningside, we focus on your end game, helping you discover a sense of passion and purpose in your work. We want our students to think more broadly about their career goals by focusing less on one career and being exposed to a multitude of options called a career community. You still get to study what you love and hone your skills, but you will also get to network and connect with others in your career community, as well as industry leaders.
What are the benefits?
We believe students who take small, intentional steps toward their career goals will not only be more successful but also more competitive when searching for that first job or internship. To that end, we expose our first-year students to career fields and industries almost immediately when they get to campus.
Which industries are covered?
- Arts, Media, and Communication
- Education, Counseling, and Youth Development
- Healthcare
- Law, Government, and Social Service
- Ag, Natural Science, and Sustainability
- Business and Accounting
- Data and Technology
- Build your own!
- We are happy to provide you with individual advising and assistance in figuring out what you are interested in!
