The public accounting major is designed to prepare you for a career as a public accountant. Students develop expertise in financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and business analysis while gaining hands-on experience solving real-world accounting challenges. Coursework includes financial and managerial accounting, auditing, individual and corporate taxation, accounting information systems, business law, data analytics, and ethics, preparing graduates for CPA licensure and careers in public accounting and professional services.
