SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside University is delighted to announce the addition of two new bachelor’s degrees. The Morningside University School of Business will now offer majors in finance and management in addition to a full complement of existing business programs. This expansion further strengthens the University’s commitment to providing a wide range of high-quality educational opportunities to our students while also responding to industry demand.

“Our decision to launch these degrees underscores our commitment to serving as a regional resource to Siouxland,” said Dr. Chris Spicer, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Morningside. “Each of these programs will equip our students with essential skills needed to excel in the dynamic worlds of finance and management and leave them prepared to take in-demand positions here in Siouxland and beyond.”

Dr. Darrel Sandall, dean of the School of Business, also expressed his enthusiasm for the new programs. “We are thrilled to offer these new degrees to our students starting in Fall 2024. By immersing our students in real-world business scenarios, we aim to foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities that employers find valuable. Additionally, both of these degrees are in high-demand and can lead to very successful jobs and careers. These programs are an excellent complement to our existing academic offerings that include other high-demand majors such as supply chain management, public and managerial accounting, marketing, and business administration.”
