Dr. Pam Mickelson, professor and chair of business administration, recently helped plan the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization Global Conference and Pitch Competition in Tampa, Fla. Eight students attended the conference with her, and one was a finalist in the Global Pitch Competition.
A representative from Google will conduct a free workshop on Google Maps from 5 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 13 in the Lincoln Center, 3627 Peters Ave., on the Morningside College campus.

Dr. Anne Power, associate professor of business management, and Mary Zink, assistant professor of business, recently gave presentations at the 2017 Assessment Institute in Indianapolis and the Association for Business Communication international conference in Dublin, Ireland.
Two accounting professors recently had an article published on “Tax Issues Facing a Surviving Spouse.” The article by Mark C. Nielsen and James M. Hopkins appeared in the October issue of Practical Tax Strategies, a tax journal published by Thomson Reuters.
