Matt Young, a senior from Kingsley, Iowa, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men’s Golfer of the Week for Oct. 21-27.
Young was one of three players in a field of 76 golfers to share medalist honors at last week’s Ashford University Kohler Classic. Young finished with a two-day total of five-over par 149 with rounds of 76 and 73. He shared medalist honors with Jared Multer of Grand Rapids Community College and Blake Vinson of Texas Wesleyan University.
Young led the Mustangs with a 76.4-stroke scoring average during the fall season.
