Women’s Volleyball downs College of Saint Mary 3-1
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The women’s volleyball team traveled to Omaha, Neb. to take on the College of Saint Mary. The flames are 10-9 overall and 0-4 in the GPAC while Morningside is 7-6 overall with a 2-2 record in the GPAC.
Morningside won the first two sets 25-22 and 25-23. Dropping the third set to the Flames 26-24 and coming back to win the fourth set 25-21 and taking the match 3-1. Krista Zenk finished with 19 kills and 49 total assists with Emma Gerber with 14 kills and Caitlin Makovicka with 13. Krista Zenk also totaled 19 digs while Kayla Harris pulled in 33 digs. The Mustangs had 10 total team blocks.
The Mustangs are back in action Saturday, Sept. 22 at home against Dakota Wesleyan University at 6 p.m.!
