Read the Weekly COVID-19 Update from Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

You can find the most updated dashboard numbers here, and the historical data here. For those interested, COVID-19 data for the State of Iowa is here.

Campus will continue to operate in YELLOW. Once again, my thanks to everyone for wearing masks and following guidelines as new cases were once again zero. Please keep it up.

A few important notes:

  • The on-campus Test Iowa site will be closed during Spring Break. It will be open the rest of this week and will reopen after Spring Break. As a reminder, it is free and available to all undergraduate students, faculty, and staff.
  • Spring break begins after classes Friday. Be sure to check COVID-19 information at your destination if you are traveling. You should also review information you received from Residence Life regarding expectations and information about the residence halls during Spring Break.
  • Be vigilant on Spring Break. Wear masks. Use good judgment and limit your exposure so that upon your return we can continue to see low campus numbers.
  • Commencement. Last Friday, an email was sent to 2021 Graduates regarding plans for the Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 15, at 2 p.m. All graduates are asked to RSVP by Friday, April 2 to let us know whether or not you will be participating in the ceremony. You can also find details at morningside.edu/events/commencement.

Have a great week and a restorative Spring Break. Please keep wearing your masks, and take care of one another and yourselves.

Be well,
Spicer
