Read the Weekly COVID-19 update.

You can find the most updated dashboard numbers here, and the historical data here. For those interested, COVID-19 data for the State of Iowa is here.

Campus will continue to operate in YELLOW. As a reminder, our campus mask requirements remain in effect. Masks are to be worn in academic buildings and most other indoor spaces on campus; masks are not required outdoors.

  • TEST IOWA: The on-campus Test Iowa site will be available again beginning this afternoon. If you are ill or have been exposed to COVID-19, we encourage you to use this free service available to all undergraduate students, faculty, and staff through May 11, 2021.
  • VACCINE UPDATE: Siouxland District Health and Drilling Pharmacy both have a number of openings for upcoming vaccine clinics. As a reminder, all adults in Iowa are eligible to receive a vaccine. Please consider making an appointment if you have not yet received a vaccine.
  • LAST WEEK’S ON-CAMPUS VACCINE CLINIC: The on-campus vaccine clinic held last week allowed us to vaccinate 167 individuals with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. A special thanks to Siouxland District Health, Vice President Terri Curry, Amanda Haverhals, Kelli Flack, Shari Benson, Judi Neswick, Jackie Barber, and the 26 students in the Community Health Nursing Class for their work in making this possible. Additionally, a special thanks to Carly Hanson for her work to help promote the event. While we hope to offer additional on-campus vaccinations before the semester ends, there are no guarantees. You are strongly encouraged to take advantage of any scheduled vaccine clinics in the area if you are able.

We are in the final weeks of the semester, so please make every effort to keep up the good work you have done throughout this academic year: wear your masks, wash your hands, stay home when you are sick, and take care of one another.

Be well,
Spicer
