Aubrey Voboril was named the GPAC Pitcher of the Week for the second week in a row.

Aubrey Voboril, a senior pitcher from Wahoo, Neb., is the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 11-17.

Voboril, who received the award for the second week in a row, went 3-0 with a 0.74 earned run average for the 14th ranked Mustangs. She allowed only 11 hits and had three walks and 14 strikeouts in 19 innings. Two of Voboril’s three starts were shutouts with three-hitters in a 10-0 win against Grace University and a 6-0 triumph against Nebraska Wesleyan University. She allowed two runs on five hits over the first five innings in a 4-3 victory against city rival Briar Cliff University.

Voboril is 10-0 with four shutouts and a 1.67 earned run average over her last 12 outings. She has a 15-2 record to lead the Mustangs in victories and also tops the team with a 1.64 ERA.

Morningside tops the GPAC standings with a 12-2 league record and will take an overall record of 33-7 into a 3 p.m. home doubleheader against Doane College on Thursday, April 21.
