Aubrey Voboril is the GPAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 25 to May 1.
Aubrey Voboril, a senior from Wahoo, Neb., has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 25 to May 1.
Voboril pitched an abbreviated five-inning perfect game in a 9-0 victory against Dordt College in the first game of the Mustangs’ GPAC doubleheader on April 25 in Sioux City. Voboril struck out eight batters while twirling her team-high seventh shutout of the season. She allowed only two runs in 24.1 innings for a 0.58 earned run average over a span of four starts from April 16-25.
Voboril has an 18-2 record with a 1.51 earned run average for a Morningside team that won the GPAC regular season championship with an 18-3 league record to obtain the No. 1 seed for this week’s GPAC Post-Season Tournament.
