Morningside placed two players on the second team of the 2015 All-GPAC Men’s Soccer selections.

Juan Pablo Jochems, a freshman midfielder from Ugchelen, Netherlands, and Tom Karshuening, a freshman midfielder from Satrup, Germany, were named to the 2015 All-Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Soccer Second Team as selected by the league’s head coaches.

Karshuening was the Mustangs’ leading scorer this season with a team-high eight goals to go along with six assists for 22 points, while Jochems tallied one goal and five assists for seven points.

In addition to their two second-team selections, the Mustangs placed Leon Koehl, Paul Quildies, and Joao Soares on the All-GPAC honorable mention list.

Koehl, a freshman defender from Berg, Germany, and Quildies, a freshman defender from Essen, Germany, were defensive standouts for a Morningside team that limited its opponents to averages of 13.1 shots and 1.50 goals per game. Soares, a sophomore forward from Campinas, Brazil, was the Mustangs’ third leading scorer with three goals and a team-high seven assists for 13 points.

Morningside posted a 10-7-1 record and finished fifth in the GPAC standings with a 5-4-1 record during the 2015 season.
