Katie Kuck and Kecia Verburg were named to the honorable mention list of the 2014 All-Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Volleyball Team as selected by the league’s head coaches.

Kuck, a 5-5 sophomore defensive specialist from Council Bluffs, Iowa, led the Mustangs with 507 digs for an average of 4.26 per game and was second on the team with 31 ace serves. Her 507 digs was the fourth highest single-season total in Morningside history.

Verburg, a 5-10 senior middle blocker from Orange City, Iowa, had 246 kills for an average of 2.30 per game to go along with seven solo blocks and 68 block assists for a norm of 0.70 blocks per contest to rank second on the team in both categories. Verburg led the Mustangs with a .296 hitting percentage.

Morningside posted a 15-17 record during the 2014 season.
