Evelyn Edge, Tracy Gates, and Taylor McCloskey were named Scholar All-Americans by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.

Three Morningside College swimmers were named to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team.

The Mustangs’ Scholar All-Americans are Evelyn Edge, a sophomore from Genoa City, Wis.; Tracy Gates, a sophomore from Escondido, Calif.; and Taylor McCloskey, a senior from Runnells, Iowa.

Morningside’s Jaimie Fast, a senior from Hastings, Neb.; Hannah Hecht, a senior from Lansing, Kan.; Josh Karel, a senior from Lincoln, Neb.; and Joe Schueller, a freshman from Pierre, S.D., were all honorable mention selections.

Swimmers must achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have achieved an “A” time standard for their NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA national championship event to be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team. Honorable mention selections must achieve a GPA of 3.50 and have achieved a “B” time standard or competed at their respective qualifying meets.
