Three men’s basketball players receive academic honor
Three Morningside men’s basketball players were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Three members of Morningside’s men’s basketball team were named 2016-2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
The Mustangs’ Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes are:
Matthew Klemme, a 6-5 senior center from Spencer, Iowa, who has a 3.75 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with a major in business administration.
Ryan Tegtmeier, a 6-0 senior guard from Davenport, Neb., who has a 3.55 cumulative GPA with a major in elementary education.
Blake Van Ginkel, a 6-2 senior guard from Dakota Dunes, S.D., who has a 3.54 cumulative GPA with majors in managerial accounting and business administration.
Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
