Three players from Morningside College’s women’s soccer team were named 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

The Mustangs’ Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes are:

Merle Bublitz, a junior midfielder from Burgwedel, Germany, who has a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with majors in biology and mathematics.

Niccole McGuire, a senior goalkeeper from Rapid City, S.D., who has a 3.78 cumulative GPA with a major in biology.

Chloe Wetzbarger, a junior midfielder from Sioux City, who has a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA with a major in elementary education.

Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
