The Morningside College Symphonic Wind Ensemble will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, in Eppley Auditorium.
The Morningside College Symphonic Wind Ensemble will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the Morningside College campus.
The concert, titled “Storytellers,” will feature pieces such as “Watchman, Tell Us of the Night” by Mark Camphouse; “The Black Horse Troop March” by John Philip Sousa; and “The Quest” by Robert W. Smith. The performance will also include selections from the popular musical “Into the Woods” by Stephen Sondheim and a narrated instrumental performance of “Peter and the Wolf” by Sergei Prokofiev.
The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Shane Macklin, assistant professor of music at Morningside College.
The event is free and open to the public.
