The Siouxland Community Foundation has awarded Morningside College a $2,800 grant for the 2015-16 season of the college’s Betty Ling Tsang Fine Arts Series. Morningside received the grant to support the college’s efforts to serve the community by providing free, quality arts programming.

The Siouxland Community Foundation has awarded Morningside College a $2,800 grant for the 2015-16 season of the college’s Betty Ling Tsang Fine Arts Series.

Morningside received the grant to support the college’s efforts to serve the community by providing free, quality arts programming. Since its start in 2008, the Betty Ling Tsang Fine Arts Series has presented a wide range of free music and theatre performances on the Morningside campus.

The 2015-16 Betty Ling Tsang Fine Arts Series schedule includes Broadway musicals “Cats” and “Oklahoma!,” the children’s play “Hansel and Gretel,” concerts by the Sioux City Symphony and the Commodores U.S. Navy Band, the Waitt Lecture, Christmas at Morningside concert and a production of “The Pirates of Penzance.”

The Siouxland Community Foundation was incorporated in 1988 and became an active grant making organization in 1991. It seeks charitable gifts and makes grants in response to community needs.
