Seven Morningside swimmers were named to the Liberal Arts All-Championship Team for their performances at the 2015 Liberal Arts Championships.

Seven Morningside College swimmers were named to the Liberal Arts All-Championship Team for their performances at the 2015 Liberal Arts Swimming & Diving Championships held Feb. 12-14 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Athletes were named to the all-championship team if they finished in the top four in an individual event or swam on a relay team that placed first or second.

Morningside’s swimmers named to the Liberal Arts All-Championship Team are:

Tracy Gates, a sophomore from Escondido, Calif., in the women’s 1650-yard freestyle.

Michael Andrlik, a junior from Ralston, Neb., in the men’s 200-yard medley relay.

Mason Hartwig, a freshman from Boone, Iowa, in the men’s 400-yard freestyle relay.

Cole Malin, a senior from Carroll, Iowa, in the men’s 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard freestyle, and 400-yard freestyle relay.

Taylor McCloskey, a senior from Runnells, Iowa, in the men’s 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard butterfly, and 200-yard medley relay.

Evan Persson, a sophomore from Blair, Neb., in the men’s 400-yard freestyle relay and 200-yard medley relay.

James Svoboda, a senior from Audubon, Iowa, in the men’s 400-yard freestyle relay and 200-yard medley relay.
