Seven runners from Morningside’s men’s and women’s cross country teams were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Seven members from Morningside College’s men’s and women’s cross country teams were named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

The Mustangs’ cross country Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes are:

Alec DeVries, a junior from Merrill, Iowa, who has a 3.59 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with a major in American and world history teaching.

Jasmine Glasgo, junior from Essex, Iowa, who has a 3.64 cumulative GPA with a major in elementary education.

Elizabeth Kube, a senior from Crofton, Neb., who has a 3.88 cumulative GPA with a major in business administration.

Bethany Larson, a junior from Sioux Center, Iowa, who has a 3.87 cumulative GPA with a major in science teaching.

Jaden Lux, a junior from Cherokee, Iowa, who has a 3.87 cumulative GPA with majors in mass communication and biopsychology.

Kate Mathes, a junior from Cherokee, Iowa, who has a 3.80 cumulative GPA with majors in biology and chemistry.

Tiffany Shepherd, a junior from Corning, Iowa, who has a 3.70 cumulative GPA with a major in elementary education.

Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
