Rudeen Named GPAC Player Of The Week

Rudeen averaged 22.5 points and 4.0 assists per game to lead the Mustangs to victories against Doane College and nationally ranked Dordt College. He made 13 of 17 field goal attempts for 76.5 percent, six of 10 3-point field goal attempts, and 13 of 15 free throw attempts for 86.7 percent.
He scored 24 points to go along with six assists, four rebounds, and one steal in last Wednesday’s 100-96 upset victory against Dordt when the Mustangs handed the fifth-ranked Defenders their first conference loss of the season and snapped their 13-game winning streak. Rudeen scored 21 points to go along with two assists and one rebound in last Saturday’s 89-84 victory against Doane.
Rudeen is the Mustangs’ leading scorer and second leading rebounder with averages of 19.8 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He also ranks second on the team with 63 assists for a norm of 3.5 per game. He is the Mustangs’ most prolific and accurate 3-point field goal shooter with a team-high 46 treys in 98 attempts for 46.9 percent. Rudeen has been the Mustangs’ leading scorer in 12 of their 18 contests and has scored in double figures in 38 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Rudeen has scored 1,634 points during his Morningside career for the third highest total in school history.
