Raul Rivera Rojas was a first-team selection on the All-Midwest Conference Men’s Volleyball Team.

Raul Rivera Rojas, a 5-11 junior outside hitter from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, was named to the 2016 All-Midwest Conference Men’s Volleyball First Team.

Rivera Rojas leads the Mustangs with 370 kills and 219 digs for averages of 3.27 kills and 194 digs per set and is also the team leader with 27 ace serves.

Rivera Rojas has a team-high 24 double figure kill performances and has the Mustangs’ top kill performance of the season with 24 kills in a 3-1 victory against Ottawa University on Feb. 12.

He also has 12 solo blocks and 47 block assists for an average of 0.52 blocks per set.

Morningside will take a 9-22 record into a match against Lindenwood-Belleville University in Friday’s quarterfinals of the Midwest Conference Tournament in St. Louis, Mo.
