Kim Christopherson, associate professor of psychology at Morningside College, recently had an essay published in a compilation of essays written for the Society for the Teaching of Psychology.

Her essay, “Incorporating Multiple Genres into an Experimental Psychology Course,” looks at how she assigns writing for both academic and general audiences. The idea is to give students experience writing in different styles, something they will have to do in their careers.

The Society for the Teaching of Psychology advances understanding of the discipline by promoting excellence in the teaching and learning of psychology.

Christopherson has been on the faculty at Morningside College since 2007. She has received two Walker Faculty Excellence Awards from Morningside, one in 2010 and one in 2013. She has a doctorate from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
