Shannon Claxton, assistant professor of psychology, recently presented at a conference for the International Association of Relationship Research in Toronto.
Shannon Claxton, assistant professor of psychology at Morningside College, recently presented at a conference for the International Association of Relationship Research in Toronto.
Her presentation, titled “Casual Sexual Relationships and Psychological Adjustment: Findings from a Longitudinal Study,” evaluated the associations between engaging in casual sexual relationships and levels of depression and self esteem over time in a sample of 354 individuals across the United States.
Claxton has a doctorate in experimental psychology from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. She has taught at Morningside College since 2015.
