Jean Hickman, assistant professor of music education, recently gave two presentations at the Iowa Music Educators Conference at Iowa State University in Ames.
Jean Hickman, assistant professor of music education at Morningside College, recently gave two presentations at the Iowa Music Educators Conference at Iowa State University in Ames.
Her presentations were “The Iowa All-State Auditions Process–How Do We Compare” and “Creating Authentic Assessments for Performing Ensembles.”
Hickman has been an assistant professor of music education at Morningside College since the fall of 2014. She is also the director of the Morningside Bel Canto Singers and the co-director of the Siouxland Master Chorale. She received her master’s degree from the University of South Dakota and her doctorate from the University of Florida.
