SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Morningside University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts will host pianist Alan Chow for a solo recital on Saturday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. inside Eppley Auditorium. The performance is free and open to the public.

Chow is acclaimed for his “elegant poetry ad virtuosic fire,” and is the Professor of Piano and Chair of the Piano Department at the Eastman School of Music. He has served as a member of the artist faculty at the Northwestern University Bienen School of Music and has performed in recitals and concerts with orchestra in major music centers in nearly all 50 states and throughout Asia.

He won First Prize in the Concert Artists Guild International Competition, the UCLA International Piano Competition, and the Palm Beach Invitational International Piano Competition. Chow’s Morningside recital will include works by Haydn, Liszt, Ravel, and Chopin.
