Morningside is picked third in the GPAC Baseball Coaches’ Pre-Season Poll.
The Mustangs received one of the 11 first place votes and 80 points to finish behind defending champion Northwestern (99) and Doane (87) in the coaches’ pre-season poll.
Morningside posted a 22-27 record and finished third in the GPAC standings with a 12-8 league mark last season.
The Mustangs will open the 2014 season with doubleheaders against Tabor College on Feb. 14 and 15 in Hillsboro, Kan.
