Morningside was tabbed for a ninth place finish by the GPAC volleyball coaches in their preseason league poll.

Morningside College is picked ninth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Volleyball Coaches Preseason Poll.

Morningside returns nine letter winners from a team that posted an 8-20 record and finished eighth in the GPAC standings with a 3-13 league mark last fall.

The Mustangs will open the 2016 campaign with a 7:30 p.m. contest against Dakota State University on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Madison, S.D.
