Morningside finished second in both the dance and cheer stunt divisions when the Mustangs hosted the 2016 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Cheer & Dance Invitational on Saturday in the Rosen Verdoorn Sports Center.
The Mustangs scored 103.95 points to finish second in the nine-school dance standings. Morningside had 76.8 points to finish second among the four schools in the cheer stunt division.
The 2016 GPAC Cheer & Dance Invitational champions were Hastings in the cheer non-stunt division and Midland in the cheer stunt and dance competitions.
