The Mustangs fell to the Chargers, 3-0.
Crosstown rival Briar Cliff proved to be too much for the Morningside women’s soccer team on Sept. 29. The Chargers blanked the Mustangs, 3-0, at Briar Cliff’s Faber Field.
Morningside took 11 shots in the contest and tallied nine shots on goal, led by Merle Bublitz, a senior from Burgwedel, Germany, with three shots and two shots on goal.
The Chargers managed to sneak the first goal of the match by keeper, Tristan Beaulieu, in the 13th minute of the contest. Beaulieu allowed three goals in the contest, but had five saves in the second half.
Morningside takes to the road on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m. to face the Doane Tigers in Crete, Neb.
