Morningside wrapped up its men’s golf season with a ninth place finish at GPAC Qualifier #4 held at Landsmeer Golf Course in Orange City, Iowa.

The Mustangs carded a team score of 324 to finish five strokes out of eighth place behind Dordt with a 319.

Morningside also finished ninth in the combined scoring from the four GPAC Qualifier tourneys held during the 2014-15 campaign. The Mustangs finished with a four-tournament total of 1281 strokes to finish 17 behind eighth place Dordt.

Keegan Bak shot the Mustangs’ top individual score at GPAC Qualifier #4 with a 76 to finish in a tie for 13th place in the individual standings. The Mustangs also counted an 82 from Alex O’Neill and 83s from Jason Vander Kooi and Nate Lubbers.

Bak, who was tied for second in the individual standings through the first three GPAC Qualifiers, finished in third place with a 13-over par 300 in the four conference tournaments. Justin Kraft of Northwestern claimed conference medalist honors with a five-over par 292, while Ben Vetrovsky of Hastings was the GPAC runner-up with a 10-over par 297.
