Three sub-80 rounds from sophomore Xan Milligan (Hexham, England) guided Morningside College at the Southern Plains Intercollegiate tournament Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 29 and 30.
OKLAHOMA CITY, OLKA. – Three sub-80 rounds from sophomore Xan Milligan (Hexham, England) guided Morningside College at the Southern Plains Intercollegiate tournament Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 29 and 30.
Milligan played Gaillardia Country Club to 18-hole totals of 76-75-78 for a three-round 229 that earned him a spot in the top 20. The top team’s sixth-place finish (940) also saw junior Corey Matthey (Sergeant Bluff, Iowa) place in a tie for 26th(233).
Head coach Todd Sapp’s program also featured a B group in the tourney. Freshman Torben Boeger’s three-day 224 lifted them to seventh (953), as he placed in a tie for 11thon the final leaderboard (224).
