The Mustang women’s tennis team lost only one match at the abbreviated Rushmore Invitational
Morningside’s women’s tennis team made an impressive showing at the abbreviated Rushmore Invitational tennis tournament on Saturday in Rapid City, S.D.
Rain forced the tournament indoors on Saturday and Sunday’s play was cancelled.
The Mustangs lost only one match during the tournament. Morningside singles players Aileen Fuchs, Cassie Stanek, Ons Souissi, Natasha Hongsermeier, and Kathryn Jones won their only singles matches.
Katie Hanson and Stanek had a 2-0 record at No. 1 doubles, Fuchs and Megan Carlson went 2-0 at No. 2 doubles, and Souissi and Anna Tussing went 2-0 at No. 3 doubles. Hongsermeier and Jones also competed in doubles and had a 1-1 record.
