Morningside head track & field coach David Nash announced the Mustangs’ award winners for the 2016 season.
The Mustangs’ Indoor MVP Award winners are Eleka Joseph, a sophomore sprinter from Saint John’s, Antigua, and Jacob Willey, a senior middle distance runner from Onawa, Iowa.
The Outdoor MVP Award winners are Tiffany Shepherd, a junior distance runner from Corning, Iowa, and Reece Jackson, a freshman hurdler-high jumper from Marcus, Iowa.
Hunter Davis, a freshman distance runner from Spirit Lake, Iowa, received the Give Back Award.
Kyle Hiser, a junior hurdler-sprinter from Shenandoah, Iowa, and Rose Pelelo Ray, a freshman sprinter-long jumper from Merrill, Iowa, received Most Improved Awards.
Devin Thomas, a senior long jumper-sprinter from Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Alec DeVries, a junior distance runner from Merrill, Iowa, received Comeback Athlete of the Year Awards.
