The GPAC head coaches picked Morningside for a fifth place finish in this year’s men’s soccer league race.

Morningside College is picked fifth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll.

Morningside returns 19 lettermen, including nine starters, from a team that posted a 10-7-1 record and finished fifth in the GPAC standings with a 5-4-1 league mark last fall.

The Mustangs will open the season with a 3 p.m. contest against Presentation College on Saturday, Aug. 27, in Aberdeen, S.D.
