The Morningside College women’s cross country team has moved up one spot to #18 on the NAIA Women’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 Poll with 232 points.
The Morningside College women’s cross country team has moved up one spot to #18 on the NAIA Women’s Cross Country Coaches’ Top 25 Poll with 232 points.
The team has posted two strong performances so far this season. They placed first out of five teams at the Viking Invitational on Sept. 14 with an average time of 20:58.0, and 10th out of 25 teams at the Augustana Twilight Meet on Aug. 31 with an average time of 19:54:67. Seniors Alison Higgins, Cassie Warner, and Megan Maaske have been key to the team’s success, finishing with some of the fastest times for the Mustangs.
The team will be back in action at the Doane Dean White Invite this Saturday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m.
