Michelle Mumm’s record breaking effort in the 1000-meters at the GPAC Indoor Track & Field Championships earned her the track performance of the meet award.
Michelle Mumm, a senior from Neola, Iowa, received the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Track Performance of the Meet Award for her effort in the 1000-meters at last weekend’s GPAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Crete, Neb.
Mumm won the 1000-meters with a time of 2:56.97 to set a new meet record in the event. Her time is the third fastest in the NAIA this season.
Aside from her victory in the 1000-meters, Mumm was the runner-up in the mile with a time of 5:05.02.
