Michelle Mumm is the GPAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Michelle Mumm, a senior from Neola, Iowa, is the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for Jan. 22-28.
Mumm won the 800-meters at last Saturday’s Buena Vista University Dennis Young Classic with a time of 2:17.26 for the fourth fastest time in the NAIA so far this season.
Mumm set a new Dennis Young Classic record, breaking the former meet record of 2:17.86 set by Sarah Hammel of Simpson College in 2008.
Morningside will compete in the Dakota Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday in Mitchell, S.D.
