Morningside is the GPAC All-Sports Trophy champion for the third year in a row.

Morningside won the 2013-14 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) All-Sports Trophy to win the award for the third year in a row.

Morningside won this year’s all-sports trophy with a total of 159.5 points for a comfortable 20.5-point margin over runner-up Doane College, which finished second behind Morningside for the third year in a row. 

The Mustangs led all schools with 86.5 points in the men’s sports and 73 points in the women’s sports.

Morningside won regular season GPAC championships this past year in football, men’s cross country, women’s soccer, wrestling, women’s basketball, women’s tennis, and softball. 

The Mustangs claimed the all-sports trophy for the fifth time in the last eight years. Morningside also captured the GPAC All-Sports Trophy in 2006-07, 2007-08, 2011-12, and 2012-13 and was the runner-up in 2008-09.
