As President Reynders referenced in his email to the campus on Tuesday, Aug. 10, COVID-19 vaccinations are an important part of keeping campus safe and healthy this academic year.

With this in mind, Morningside University will be offering an incentive of a $50 Morningside Bookstore gift card, a button, and a sticker to all current, full-time Morningside undergraduate students, faculty, and staff who present a COVID-19 vaccination card that shows you have received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines on or before Monday, Nov. 1.

To get your $50 Bookstore gift card, button, and sticker, please present your completed vaccination card and Morningside ID at the Vaccination Verification Table in the lobby of Olsen Student Center between 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the following dates:
  • Tuesday, Aug. 31
  • Wednesday, Sept. 1
  • Thursday, Sept. 2
  • Friday, Sept. 17
  • Monday, Sept. 20
  • Friday, Oct. 8
  • Monday, Oct. 11
  • Monday, Nov. 1
Please note that Morningside will not retain a copy of your vaccination card, but your name will be checked off a master list.

Anyone who is unable to attend the verification table events or who does not have their completed vaccination card on campus has the option of emailing marketing@morningside.edu. To be considered valid and complete, you must send a photo of the front of your vaccination card, the back of your vaccination card, your first and last name, and your birth date. You will receive a confirmation email once we have verified we have all your items. You can then show your confirmation email at one of the table events, or pick up your incentive items from Shari Benson in Lewis Hall 120.

If you have not yet received your COVID-19 vaccination, there are two ways you can do so to get the incentive offer on or before Nov. 1.
