Rhett Lyon will present a voice recital on Saturday, October 23 at 3 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium.

Rhett Lyon, baritone, will present a voice recital on Saturday, October 23 at 3 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium on Morningside’s campus. The performance is free and open to the public.

Lyon is a vocal music education major from Omaha, Neb. He studies voice with Blair Remmers and will be accompanied by Michele Grossman. His recital will include works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Francesco Tosti, Ernest Chausson, Michael Head, Herbert Hughes, Peter Warlock, Gerald Finzi, Irving Berlin, Alan Lerner and Frederick Lowe, and Dorothy Fields and Jerome Kern. Lyon is also involved in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the Morningside Choir, and the National Association for Music Education – Collegiate, a professional development group for future music educators.

The Morningside University School of Visual and Performing Arts provides immersive opportunities for Morningside students and the Siouxland community to experience the power of music and the fine arts. All Morningside students, regardless of major, can audition and perform in ensembles and productions.
