Lincoln Larsen will present a trumpet recital on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium.

Lincoln Larsen, a music education major at Morningside University, will present a trumpet recital on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Eppley Auditorium on Morningside’s campus. The performance is free and open to the public.

Larsen is from Sioux City and has played the trumpet since elementary school. He studies brass with Erik Mahon, director of jazz studies and assistant professor of music at Morningside. Larsen’s recital will include works by Alessandro Marcello, Joseph Turrin, Anthony Plog, Johann Hummel, and Claude Bolling. He is the principal trumpet for Morningside’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Pride of Morningside marching band and the lead trumpet for M Avenue where Jazz is Good.

The Morningside University School of Visual and Performing Arts provides immersive opportunities for Morningside students and the Siouxland community to experience the power of music and the fine arts.
