The School of Visual and Performing Arts is holding open auditions for its summer production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” 

Morningside University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts is holding open auditions on June 4, 5, and 6 for its summer production of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

Auditions will be held at Klingler-Neal Theater (3700 Peters Ave.) at the following times:

  • June 4 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • June 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • June 6 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Participants may come to auditions with a prepared classical monologue or receive a monologue at the auditions. Those interested in assisting backstage or with production work are encouraged to attend auditions or contact Taylor Clemens, director of the production and assistant professor of theatre, at clemenst@morningside.edu.

Performances of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” will take place on July 30, July 31, and August 1 at the Buhler Outdoor Performance Center on Morningside’s campus. Performance times are forthcoming.
