Men’s tennis falls short in first meet of season.
The Morningside Mustangs men’s tennis opened their abbreviated fall schedule with an 8-1 loss against Grand View University, on Tuesday afternoon at the Mason Family Tennis Complex in Sioux City, Iowa.
Morningside’s single win came in the doubles portion. Bernie Cadario and Jory Opp combined at doubles #2 to defeat Dawson Miessler and Rafael Correa for a final score of 9-7. The Mustangs tried to come back with a 2-1 deficit entering the singles portion but eventually fell short.
The men’s team will travel on Friday, Sept. 14 to Fremont, Neb. to compete in the GPAC Individual Tournmanet. Good luck Mustangs!
