The Morningside Men’s golf team competed at their home Morningside Invite at Whispering Creek. Overall the team placed second out of 17 teams with a +21 gross to par. Morningside was bettered by Northwestern who had a +18 gross to par. Morningside had three golfers in the top ten, those included Jonny Douglas even to par tied for first place, Ben Peterson and Sam Storey scored +3 gross to par that was good enough to tie for fourth place.
The Mustangs have several upcoming meets for the team which include: Sept. 4 and 5 with the Blue River-Wilderness Ridge/Highland, Sept. 13 and 14 at the Siouxland Invite, Sept. 19 at Midland-Oakland, and Sept. 24 and 25 at the GPAC Fall Meet at Willow Run Golf Course.
