(Sioux City, Iowa) Morningside College’s men’s and women’s cross-country teams competed at the Augustana Twilight Cross Country Meet on Aug. 31 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Morningside women’s team placed tenth out of twenty-five teams with a total time of 1:39:33.32 and an average of 19:54.67. Alison Higgins, a senior, achieved a time of 18:41.34 and placed 21 out of 277 runners. Senior Cassie Warner also stood out with a time of 19:35.14.
The men’s cross-country team placed eighteenth out of twenty-three teams. Their total time was 2:02:40.89, and their average was 24:32.18. Anthony Patton, a senior, lead the Mustang men with a time of 23:34.17.
The teams will next compete at the Viking Invitational at 5:30 PM on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.
