Members of the Morningside College chapter of Psi Chi, the international psychology honor society, have elected Nancy Medel, a senior from Newell, Iowa, as president for the 2017-18 academic year.

Members of the Morningside College chapter of Psi Chi, the international psychology honor society, have elected Nancy Medel, a senior from Newell, Iowa, as president for the 2017-18 academic year.
Other officers recently elected for the honor society include Jesse Nitzschke, a senior from Le Mars, Iowa, vice president; and Alexis Van Houten, a senior from Kansas City, Mo., secretary.
Dr. Jessica Pleuss, assistant professor of psychology, serves as adviser for the Morningside chapter.
Psi Chi was founded in 1929 to encourage, stimulate and maintain excellence in scholarship and advance the science of psychology.
