Morningside College will host a Sing for Siouxland benefit concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave.

The hour-long concert will feature performances by six local choirs.

They are the Bishop Heelan Concert Chorale, conducted by Rachael Wragge; East High School Chamber Choir, conducted by Tom Hales; North High School Chamber Choir, conducted by Andrew Stoneking; West High School Chamber Choir, conducted by Noah Towns; Siouxland Youth Chorus Concert Choir, conducted by Dr. Shirley Neugebauer-Luebke; and Morningside Choir, conducted by Dr. Ryan Person.

“This year’s performance, ‘It Takes a Village,’ will feature uplifting music that will renew your spirit and reinforce the importance of community within Siouxland,” said Person, who is an assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at Morningside.

An $8 per person donation is suggested. However, those in attendance are encouraged to give freely or as they are able. Proceeds will go to the Mary J. Treglia Community House.
