Morningside College students Jared Kamrath and Katelyn Stewart will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at Grace United Methodist Church, 1735 Morningside Ave.

The performance is free and open to the public. A tenor, Kamrath will sing songs by Charles Ives, Henri Duparc, Leonard Bernstein and Stefano Donaudy. A mezzo soprano, Stewart will sing songs by John Duke, Benjamin Britten, Christoph Willibald Gluck and Johannes Brahms. They will end the recital with the duet “Serious” from “Legally Blonde.”

Kamrath is the son of Lance Kamrath of South Sioux City, Neb., and a 2016 graduate of South Sioux City High School. He is a vocal performance major and an acting minor at Morningside.

Stewart is the daughter of Rick and Susan Stewart of Crofton, Neb., and a 2016 graduate of Crofton High School. She is a music education and music performance double major at Morningside.

“We are extremely grateful for all the support from our teachers, family and friends in preparing this recital,” Stewart said.
