Students at Morningside College have elected Paul Johnson, an international student from Nigeria, as student government president for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Students at Morningside College have elected Paul Johnson, an international student from Nigeria, as student government president for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Johnson, a junior international affairs and mass communication major, also will serve as student representative and a voting member on the Morningside College Board of Directors. During the 2014-2015 academic year, he served as student advocate for student government.

Other Morningside student government officers elected include Diane Nguyen of Sioux City, vice president; Alec DeVries of Merrill, Iowa, treasurer; Kyle Hiser of Shenandoah, Iowa, secretary; Alex Sullivan of Berthoud, Colo., student advocate; and Tori Figge of Rock Rapids, Iowa; director of communications.
